An important part of any school is its staff. Meet the people behind Grace Episcopal Preschool.
 
We have an experienced and dedicated group of teachers and administrators. Each one strives to create a supportive and challenging classroom atmosphere.

Ms. Judy Parks


 

Ms. Ginny Herbert
Head of School

Ginny Herbert has been the Head of School at Grace for the last eleven years. Ginny graduated Summa Cum Laude from Southwest Texas State University in 1991 with a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education. She taught elementary school in Hutto for five years before the birth of her son, Addison, in May 1996. After staying home with him for a year, Ginny returned to teaching in Hutto. She got her mathematics certification for the upper grades and began teaching middle school and high school math courses at Hutto High. In April 1999 she had her second son, Kaden. After staying home a year with him, Ginny began at Grace. Ginny continues to teach math out of her home by tutoring in the evenings.

Ginny and her husband, Chris, will celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary in June. They have three children:  Addison, age 14; Kaden, age 11; and Ainsley; age 4. Her family attends Grace Episcopal Church, and they enjoy baseball, basketball, football, camping, and water activities. They live in Georgetown with their cats, Penelope & Sassafras. Ginny's hobbies include scrap booking, reading, and shopping.

Ms. Evelyn Vance
Music Teacher & Administrative Assistant

Evelyn Vance graduated from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas with a degree in Computer Programming. She worked in the data processing field for 15 years before she and her husband Donny moved to Denver, Colorado. They lived in the Denver area for 5 years where their daughter Mackenzie was born in 1994. They moved to Georgetown in 1997 and enrolled Mackenzie at Grace Episcopal Preschool. In 1998 Evelyn was hired as the music teacher for GEP when her daughter was in the 4 year old class. Her dedication and experience has led to more and more job responsibilities for the preschool. She now serves as the Administrative Assistant and bookkeeper as well as teaching music. Evelyn’s love for singing began with her own preschool years and has continued throughout her life. She has sung with many church and civic choirs, including the Beaumont Civic Opera.

Donny and Evelyn have been married for 23 years. They have one daughter, Mackenzie, age 16, and 2 cats, Rusty and Zoey. Evelyn’s hobbies are singing, baking and gardening.

 

Ms. Lori
Two-Day Twos

Lori Gegelman is very excited about returning to Grace this year! Lori and her husband, Justin, are originally from North Dakota. They moved to Austin 8 years ago for a job opportunity for her husband and have lived in Georgetown for the past 5 years.

Lori has four wild and fun boys! Braeden is 9, Kinden is 7, Logan is 5 and Mason is 3. All four of her boys have attended preschool at Grace.

Lori loves to spend her time camping, scrapbooking, shopping and going to activities with her boys.

 

Ms. Stephanie Link
Three-Day Twos

Stephanie Link has lived in Georgetown for 12 years. She started teaching at Grace eleven years ago. She took 4 years off to have her two sons, Connor (9) and Colin (6). She has been married to Sean for almost 14 years. She enjoys anything that she can do with her two boys...running, biking, scootering, skating, soccer and basketball. She also enjoys volunteering at her sons school on her days off.

 

 

 

 

Ms. Debra Mason
Three-Day Threes

Debra has been teaching at Grace for the past 2 years, before that she was a substitute parent for 2 years. She has 2 beautiful boys Garrett 10 and Travis 6. She loves seeing kids learn through play and fun.

Born and raised in New York, she moved to Texas 16 years ago and loves calling Georgetown her home. She enjoys volunteering at Cooper Elementary, where her boys attend, spending time with friends and being a Mom.

 

 

 

Ms. Mindy Davis
Three-Day Threes

This is Mindy’s first year of teaching at GEP. She has been a parent at GEP for the 3 years. Her daughter Elena started at GEP as a 4 yr old and is now attending Gateway Prep School as a first-grader. Her daughter Alexandre (Lexie) started at GEP last year is now attending as a 4 yr old. Mindy grew up mostly around Austin. She graduated from Pflugerville High and attended ACC. She is very excited about incorporating her love for gardening and recycling in her teaching. She is amazed to see how much the kids thrive on digging in the dirt.

Before becoming a teacher, Mindy did substitute work and lots of volunteer work at both of her girl’s schools. Now in her free time she loves spending time with her family, gardening and sewing.

 

Ms. Kelly
Two-Day Threes

This is Kelly Armstrong's first year here at Grace Preschool. Her three children (Keilah, Kenzie, and Jake) also attend Grace. Teaching three year olds is a new adventure for Kelly. She comes to Grace after teaching first and second grade in GISD for 7 years.

She grew up in Lubbock and moved to Georgetown 15 years ago to attend Southwestern University. She graduated with a degree in Child Study and Language Development (Education). She played tennis all through high school and college and is slowly getting back into playing. A few years after college she met and married her husband, Joe. Her joy comes from spending time with her family. Some of their favorite activities include: tent camping, jumping on the trampoline, reading, and prayer time.

 

Ms. Micki Llewellyn
Four Year Olds

Micki Llewellyn lives with her husband and children in Round Rock. Her oldest child is Ian who is 14 and the youngest is Claire who is 11.  This is her 6th year teaching at Grace.  She really enjoys working with children.  She and her husband teach Sunday School classes for elementary children and Micki  also leads a brownie troop.

Micki grew up in East Tennessee and graduated from the University of Tennessee with a major in history. In 2001, she began working at a preschool in Round Rock. In the second year she began teaching in the four year old class. She loves working with children the year before they begin kindergarten.

 

Ms. Margaret Cromwell
Four Year Olds


 

Margaret Cromwell  is in her 2nd year at Grace Episcopal Preschool and this  year and will be teaching the four  year olds class.  Margaret and her husband Jerry have been married for 38 years and have one  daughter, Amy Heil, and two beautiful granddaughters Madison and  Allyson.  After being born and raised in El Paso she decided to move to  Georgetown to be closer to family and to also enjoy the beautiful   central Texas countryside.

Margaret graduated from the University of  Texas at El Paso and taught 3rd grade for many years and  kindergarten.  Margaret loves being with her family and doing things  together.  She enjoys reading, crocheting, shopping, and going to  family gatherings and being with friends.  Margaret and Jerry have two  little puppies called Sugar and Spice and love watching their  granddaughters run and play with them in the backyard.



Ms. Andrea Borchgardt
Four Year Olds

Andrea Borchgardt graduated from Texas State in 1998 with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies (Education). She taught first grade in PISD for several years before having her children and becoming a stay at home mom. She has 2 children: a daughter, Kaci who is 8 and a son, Bailey who is 6 and has been married to her husband, Clint for 11 years.They have made Round Rock their home along with 2 dogs, a cat and a turtle.

Andrea was a teacher at Grace in 2008 until her daughter was diagnosed with Juvenile Diabetes. She took a year off to ensure that her daughter and family were able to adjust to this new lifestyle.
In her free time Andrea enjoys spending time with her family, volunteering at her children's school, scrapbooking and photography. She is also the troop leader for her daughter's Brownie Troop and an active volunteer with the JDRF Austin Chapter.

Andrea is looking forward to working with the 4 year olds and getting them ready to tackle Kindergarten. She is very glad to be back as a part of the Grace preschool family!

 

Ms. Barbara Kendrick
Teacher's Aide

Barbara Kendrick has been employed at Grace Preschool for 9 years now, and she loves it here.  She was a teacher for two years, and now she is the three day teacher’s aide.  Barbara has two children of her own at home.  The oldest is Mandy and she is 22 years old, and the youngest is Jon and he is 16 years old.  She and her husband, Allan, have been married now for 23 years.  She was born in Georgetown and has lived here for 22 years.  Barbara loves to read, sew, cook and work on the computer.  She plans to be with Grace Preschool for a long time.
 


Ms. Amy Nortom
Teacher's Aide

Amy Norton is very excited to be starting her first year as part of the Grace Staff Family. She and her family moved to Georgetown in January 2009. Amy has been married to Erik for 12 years, and they have a boy Kire (5), a girl Mya (3), and a girl dog Appa (1). Before coming to Georgetown they lived in a suburb of Sydney, Australia for nearly 8 years. Kire and Mya were born there. Amy loves to cook, go to the movies with Erik, play fetch with Appa, and having a cuddle on the couch with Kire and Mya.
