MS. EVELYN:
Welcome to Fall everyone! The weather is
finally starting to feel cooler and the
leaves are starting to change color. For the
first few weeks of November we will sing
"Leaves Falling Down" and a great song
thanking God for all our Blessings on
Thanksgiving. We also will play instruments
to "Over the River and through the Woods."
Then we'll have to get busy preparing for
our Christmas Program. This
year the Christmas Program will be held on
December 18, at 10:30 in the Sanctuary,
followed by classroom parties. I hope your
child is enjoying our time together in music
class.
Sing and make music in your heart to the
Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father
for everything in the name of our Lord Jesus
Christ. Ephesians 5:19-20
MS. KARA:
We had a great October! Now it is time for
another busy month. This month we will be
talking about ways families enjoy the fall,
the many different ways families work,
giving thanks and friends at church. We
will also continue learning our letters.
This month we will work on i, j, k, and l.
This is a very crafty time of year, so get
ready for beautiful artwork coming home.
Cooking, cooking and more
cooking! The girls love to cook! Look
outside our classroom for this month's
cooking schedule. Happy Thanksgiving!
MS. STEPHANIE:
I can't believe that October is over
already! We had a great time at the Fall
Festival, the pumpkin patch and learning
about Halloween in Scotland! The children
also had fun visiting with the firemen who
came to our school. It's Thanksgiving time
and we are going to learn all about the
wonders of Fall. Our Bible lessons will
focus on Jesus and his friends. I would
like to invite all of you to share one of
your family traditions with our class this
month for Thanksgiving. It can be in the
form of a recipe or story or anything that
your family does special for Thanksgiving.
Let me know what your family tradition is
and I will work it into our schedule. You
are invited to share it with the class or
your child and I will share it with the
class. This should be lots of fun and it
will help us all get to know each other
better.
Have a happy and safe Thanksgiving holiday!!

Once again the days are passing too
quickly! In November our unit of study will
be "I Can Discover Autumn". The purpose of
this unit is to help preschoolers become
aware of changes in their world in
autumn and to thank God for making a
beautiful world. Concepts to be emphasized
will be "God made the world and special
times of the year called seasons"; "I can
use my senses to explore autumn objects";
"Many fruits and vegetables ripen and are
picked in autumn"; "Thanksgiving is an
autumn holiday"; "I can say thank-you to
God". Letters we will explore are "I", "J",
and "K". Our numbers will be "9" and "10".
Our cooking project will be pumpkin pie! On
November 11th the Sun City Mad
Hatters will present "The Three Little Pigs"
for our school. Another fun activity will
be a visit from Michael Hicks and his zoo
show on November 13th! We will be looking
forward to our Thanksgiving Feast on
Tuesday, November 25th! As all can see, a
very busy month! I want to wish a Blessed
Thanksgiving to all!
MS. LEIGH:
We had a super October!! To all of my
parents who volunteered their valuable time
to our Fall Festival and goodies for our
Chocolate Lovers basket: You are the BEST!
Thank you! During October, we learned about
community helpers, Noah*s Ark, and
nighttime. As much fun as October was,
November will be even better! Fall is
here. We will begin exploring all the
wonderful things that God has given us
during this time of year. We will
investigate pumpkins and other fall harvest
foods. Our class will learn about the 5
senses. That always means yummy food to
bake and eat. How many senses will we use
during cooking time? We will have to wait
and see. Happy Birthday, Colin!!
Have a great November.
MS.
MELISSA:
The children will be busy in the
classroom during the month of November as
they learn about families, community
helpers, and autumn. We will focus on the
letters I, J, K, and L throughout the month.
In Chapel the children will be hearing
stories from the Bible about day and night,
Jesus’ helpers, thanking God, and Jesus
teaching others.
On November 4th the children will be voting
for their favorite color. This experience
will allow each student to see how the
election process works first hand. November
4th will also be Grace T-Shirt day. The Sun
City Mad Hatters will join us on November
11th at 10:00. They will present the story
The Three Little Pigs, which should be very
exciting! The Capital of Texas Zoo will
visit Grace on November 13th around 10:00 to
give the children a chance to see and learn
about a few special animals. The
Thanksgiving Family Feast honoring
Grandparents will be on November 25th. Our
class is scheduled to eat in the Parish Hall
at 11:15. As always, you are welcome to join
us for any of these events.
Thank you to those of you who helped make
our Halloween Festival such a success. We
wouldn’t be able to give our children this
experience without your donated time and
treats.
MS DIANE:
I cannot believe how fast October flew by!!
The children have had so much fun learning
about pumpkins through our experiments,
playing with pumpkin spice play-doh,
examining various types of gourds, listening
to wonderful Halloween and fall stories, and
learning about fire safety when the
firefighters came to visit. They have also
been working hard on learning to write their
name and learning to recognize “-at” and
“-ell” words. And, of course, everyone
enjoyed seeing all the fun costumes and
playing the games at the Fall Festival!
Thank you so much to all our parent helpers!
November will be another quick month, I’m
sure. Of course we will be talking a lot
about Thanksgiving and turkeys! Some
exciting events include Election Day on
November 4th when we will be voting for our
favorite colors. November 11th a wonderful
group called the Sun City Mad Hatters will
be visiting to share the story of the “Three
Little Pigs.” On November 13th, we will have
a visit from Michael Hicks with the Capital
of Texas Zoo! Then, of course, on November
25th, we will have our annual Thanksgiving
Feast honoring all our “grand” parents. That
day we will be auctioning off all the
wonderful gift baskets the classes have been
working on! Please remember to send in your
items for our “Pamper Me” basket. Let’s make
it the best one! ? I am very thankful for
all our wonderful parents and students!
Happy November birthday to Evan on the 7th
and Savannah on the 22nd!
MS. MICKI:
This month we will be studying the letters
I-K. We will be learning about insects and
making an imaginary animal. We will be
painting with jelly and eating Jell-O
Jigglers. We will be eating Kangaroo Krunch
and tracing and stamping keys. We will also
be using magnets with our keys as well as
other things. The week of November 4 we will
be having insect Show-N-Tell, and regular
Show-N-Tell the rest of the month. In circle
time we will be talking about thankfulness
and Jesus along with our study of
Thanksgiving. Happy and safe travels.
MS. HEATHER:
November will be a month of reviewing all
the letters that we have learned since
school began. We will spend one day on each
letter A-H. Thursdays will be “free” Show &
Tell. Let your child be creative, but let’s
still keep them on the small side. This
month we will talk a lot about being
thankful and telling each other “Thank You”.
If you have cardboard inserts from toilet
paper, please send one in for our scarecrow
craft. They will be used as decorations at
the Thanksgiving Family Feast on November
25th. The fours will eat at 11:30 a.m.
Some special activities in November include
a show presented by the Sun City Mad Hatters
on November 11th, and zoo animals will come
to the school on November 13th!
Thank you for all the help and donations of
snacks!
