Thank you, wonderful
Newsletter Assembly Committee: Debra, Lara, Jackie, and
Julia for assembling October' s newsletter. Thanks to
Andrea for being our Campbell's Soup Labels chairperson.
We all appreciate you! And thanks to Elizabeth and
Alyson for chairing our childcare for staff meetings
committee. We appreciate each of you!
This year our Thanksgiving Feast will be held on
Tuesday, November 25th in our Parish Hall! This luncheon
is for the grandparents (or "grand"-people) in your
children's lives and for you parents and
siblings, too! We will be asking each family to sign up
to bring two dishes (breads, stuffing/dressing, green
bean casserole, other sides, and desserts) per child
enrolled. Last year we had just enough food, so thank
you in advance for signing up. The preschool will
provide the turkey, ham, gravy, paper products and
drinks. The children have been decorating the
invitations in their classes, and I will mail them on
Friday, November 7. On Tuesday, November 25th, the
children will come to school as they normally do at
9:00. The twos and their families will eat beginning at
11:00; the threes will begin at 11:15; and the fours
will begin at 11:30. If you have more than one child
here, you may eat with both of them at one of their
designated times. If your child will not have a
grandparent or parent attending the feast, the teacher
will stay with the child. This year we will close the
silent auction items at noon. Be sure to bid on your
favorite holiday gift basket! After the feast, just sign
your child out and remember to retrieve your dishes.
School holidays are Wednesday, November 26 and Thursday,
November 27. We at Grace Preschool hope you all have a
blessed Thanksgiving with your families. We will see you
back at school on Tuesday, December 2nd!

Thank you, Stephanie Revell, for taking our fall
pictures. Remember orders are due by November 13th to
avoid a $20 late fee. Thanks to Natalie, Jennifer,
Kristin, and Rachel for all of your help on our
Picture Days.
Thanks to those parents who volunteered to take charge
of the baskets in each classroom. The items are looking
great!
A HUGE "Thank You" to all the parents who helped with
the Fall Festival. The children all had so much fun. It
was a treat to see their smiling faces, and it was all
possible due to our fabulous parents!
The Georgetown Community Blood Center (located in Wolf
Ranch) is in need of blood donations. Donations of blood
usually slow down in the holiday season and that is
usually when more blood is needed. Please think about
donating blood over the holiday season. Visit
www.bloodandtissue.org
for more information and for days and hours of
operation.
Thanks to all who came out to Applebee's for our Dining
to Donate Night on October 7th. We had a decent
turn-out, and the school netted $160 for our scholarship
fund! Thanks Applebee's!
Remember to save your Campbell's Soup Labels for your
child's classroom. The classroom collecting the most
labels each month will be treated to an ice cream or
cookie party! Yum!
Book and Software Orders due: Thursday, November
13th!
This book order might be back in time for Thanksgiving,
but it will definitely be here for the Christmas
holidays if you are planning any gifts from this order.
We will have one more order before Christmas.
Hear Ye, Hear Ye!!!
Mark your calendars now for the 28th Annual Christmas
Stroll on the Square Parade. The parade will be on
Saturday, December 6th beginning at noon. This is such a
fabulous time in our wonderful town. Please make plans
to join us on our float or cheer us on as we drive by.
What fun!
Thank you for respecting the teachers' time before
school and getting your children to class right on time
at 9:00 a.m. If you ever happen to be early, please feel
free to visit the playground with your child or wait in
Room 18 for the school day to begin. Teachers cannot
adequately supervise children while preparing lessons
and securing materials for the day. Please remember to
pack your child's backpack with a change of clothing
(suitable to the weather) in case of accidents. If we do
not have a change of clothing for your child, we will
put him/her in G.E.P.'s spare clothing. We ask that you
launder and return the spare clothing as soon as
possible so we will have it if we need it for another
child. Thanks for your help with this. And Remember: We
do get dirty at Preschool! :-)
